This may only support Netscape or IE. A box will pop up asking for permission to install something or other, and you should say yes. Don't get cheeky with it.

This chat interface connects you directly to #alt.smokers.pipes. If you cannot connect to the default server, irc.undernet.org, you might want to select an alternative server from the drop down list. us.undernet.org will connect you to a random Undernet server in the US, eu.undernet.org will connect you to a random Undernet server in the EU.

Clicking a link in the chat screen should open a new browser window. If you want to surf around, you'll need to open a new window yourself. If you leave this chat page, you will be disconnected.

BTW, this is a Java applet, so if it doesn't work, it could be that you don't have Java installed on your system. This is a concern mostly for users of IE 6. I'm not sayin' you should download the Java Runtime, since it's something like fifteen meg, but hey, it's useful to have.
